He asked for suggested changes or additions to incorporate into the 2008-09 plan. Chuck Schwartau suggested adding webinars as a form of distance education. A majority of those present were interested. Other ideas that were presented include: a bio-fuel seminar for 2009 AM /PIC, explore how extension agents can provide assistance to producers who are lacking large animal veterinary services and look for a review of grass fed beef information.
Gene presented the 2007-08 budget and discussed the proposed 2008-09 budget. With increased sponsorship and less pre-tour participants the committee faired well this year. Need to adjust for higher projected expenses for next year.
